Club Mahindra – Holiday Experience (2)

Holiday Experience shared by Club Mahindra’s Members

Touching hearts

Our first stay as members of Club Mahindra at Coorg was a special one, filled with touching moments.

What a welcome! Shyla with a tray covered with flowers and a lamp welcomed us putting a red tika on our forehead. We were two couples sharing a well-furnished apartment with modern gadgets, overlooking a valley covered with dense trees lined with mountain ranges. Sunrise was as beautiful as the sunset with gusty winds throughout the day.

Coorg is a well-planned resort around a lush green valley ad the landscape is excellent. Standing among those huge green leaves, which cover every nook and corner of the resort, you appreciate the pain and effort of those who have made this captivating resort, so that members like us can enjoy the fruits of their labour. I salute them!

Hospitality at its best, made each one of us feel special, not only as members of Club Mahindra, but as invitees by a team of smiling, eager to help and serve, well-dressed and meticulous personnel. A CD of the movie Fanah was brought especially for us by the recreation centre.

We hope that our holiday in the next 25 years of our membership is as fascinating as the first one at Coorg.

A European sojourn

We left Delhi for Paris in September. We were booked at a hotel located near the city centre and Gare du Nord.

Walking on the streets of Paris was truly an exhilarating experience. The panoramic view of the city of lights in the night from the top of the Eiffel tower was breathtaking. My kids had a whale of a time at euro Disney.  Even my husband and I got adventurous and enjoyed those thrilling rides.

From Paris we boarded Eurostar and reached London in just two and a half hours. In England, we stayed at Brantridge Park some 50 miles from London. The accommodation at the resort was like a dream come true. Rooms were comfortable and luxurious. The resort is spread over 100 acres with beautifully maintained gardens, golf course and swimming pools. We spotted many peacocks and deer during our morning walks.

We also had a great time at Brighton. It is a fabulous place in the south of England with miles of beaches, the famous pier, the Royal Pavilion, great restaurants, nightlife and shopping. We got a chance to see the famous English countryside and sprawling gardens.

This indeed was one of the best holidays we have had. We shall cherish the endearing memories of our stay and look forward to our next holiday.
